ABSTRACT
Objective:comparing with CTA,to investigate MRA’s ability to discover and diagnose intracerebral Aneurysm.Materials and.
methods:14 patients suspected intracerebral Aneurysm were examed by MRA and CTA ,and postprocessing program adopted Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) and Volume Rendering (VR). Referring to DSA or aneurysm clipping,we compared MRA with CTA on discovering intracerebral Aneurysm.
Results:21 aneurysms in 14 cases were confirmed by DSA or operation,17 aneurysms were all showed well on MRA and CTA,and the size of aneurysm’s neck and body in MRA and CTA was not significant difference (P>0.05). the sensitivity of MRA was 90.5%,CTA was 95.2%.
Conclusion:MRA is non-invasive examination, which cost are few,no complications and radiolesion, and spatial resolution is higher, don’t use contrast media in exam. It may be the better screening method for aneurysms, and it can evaluate aneurysms and make the plan for treatment.
