ABSTRACT
As a medical technology department, radiation department contains X-ray, CT, MRI and interventional room, so it not only has many equipments, but also has lots of personnel. So we call it general radiation department. Common radiation department has very little nursing personnel, say nothing of head nurse. While in general radiation department, the head nurse is significant. Mangement function of the head nurse includes three aspects: First, nursing - to guarantee nursing safety, improve professional technique level and at the same time to cultivate young nurses. Second, window service - the attitude as well as the quality of service is directly related to the reputation of a hospital, so it is a necessary responsibility for the head nurse to cultivate and manage the actions and works of the workers who get in touch with patients directly. Last, department business - such as personnel management, material management, information delivery and usual trifles, ect. In a word, the head nurse of general radiation department hold many responsibilities and need to deal with various of matters for her department.
